Soccer
*Registration Opens: Monday, June 6th*

Fall Soccer League is a sports program designed to be fun and educational.

The league will run from August-October and consist of one practice day a week, either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (possibly Friday depending on the amount of teams), to work on skills and receive detailed instruction about the game; and on Saturday’s players will participate in a competitive match to put the skills they have learned to use. The 9-11 and 12-15 Age Groups will travel and compete with surrounding counties. A practice schedule will be posted/emailed the week of August 8th. Fee includes referees, jerseys, and a participation medal. (Picture Day: September 17th)

Location: Our game field is located behind the King William Community Center/Parks and Recreation Building (Address: 7890 Richmond Tappahannock Hwy - Aylett, VA 23009)

Age Groups: (As of September 10th, 2022)

4-5 years old; Weekday Practice & Saturday Game
      (4-6 minute quarters / 4v4 ; no gks)
      Approx. 6 per team
      *player will receive a YS jersey
      Ball: Size 3
6-8 years old; Weekday Practice & Saturday Game 
      (10 minute quarters / 5v5 ; gks)
      Approx. 8 per team
      Ball: Size 4
9-11 years old; Weekday Practice & Saturday Game [Subject to Change]
      (25 minute halves / 9v9 ; gks)
      Approx. 10-14 per team
      Ball: Size 5
12-15 years old; Weekday Practice & Saturday Game [Subject to Change]
      (30 minute halves / undetermined ; gks)
      Approx. 16 per team
      Ball: Size 5

*We encourage all players to arrive AT LEAST 10 minutes prior to both practices AND games

Fall Soccer will begin the week of August 22nd. The cost per child is $75.00 (4-5 Age Group: $60.00 per child) and each additional child after will receive a 7% sibling discount.

Your child will be given their team jersey before their first scheduled game once registration is complete AND paid in full. You will be responsible for providing soccer cleats (different from baseball/football cleats), shin guards, shorts, socks (either white, black, or your team color is preferred when considering socks), and a water bottle for your child. Each participant is REQUIRED to have shin guards.
*4-5 Age Group: Cleats are recommended but not required at this age

We are always in need of volunteer coaches. So please consider making a difference in a child's life by letting us know if you, or someone you know, would be interested in becoming a volunteer soccer coach.

In order to submit a special request, email us at parksandrec@kingwilliamcounty.us. We will keep a list of all requests made and do our best to accommodate those requests but cannot guarantee that they will be met.

In order to receive a refund, a request must be made by email (parksandrec@kingwilliamcounty.us) prior to the day of the individuals first scheduled practice. Refunds will not be given after the first scheduled practice day. If the individuals first practice happens to be postponed, then the request must be submitted prior to the originally scheduled practice date.
