[[[AFTER-SCHOOL REC 2026-2027]]]
ABOUT:
The After-School REC program provides a fun, supportive environment where children can strengthen the healthy habits, positive attitudes, and study skills they've learned throughout the school day. Along with homework assistance, participants will enjoy daily reading time and a variety of engaging recreational activities, including arts and crafts, sports and games, field trips, special visitors, and more.
The After-School REC program is held at Acquinton Elementary School in the cafeteria and gymnasium. Children attending Cool Spring Primary School will be safely escorted to Acquinton by program staff each afternoon. The program operates Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Pricing and Supplies:
- Full-time (5 days/week): $60 per child
- Part-time (3 days/week): $40 per child
- A 7% sibling discount is applied for each additional child

Please send a snack with your child each day for our afternoon snack time.
If school is closed:
The program will NOT be held when schools are closed due to scheduled closures or inclement weather. If school is dismissed early due to inclement weather, the After-School REC program will resume at dismissal and parents will have one hour from the time of dismissal to pick up their child.
How to Register:
Register online by creating an account, visit our office and staff can assist you with registration, or call us and we can complete the registration process over the phone.
(Please make sure your child's grade level is selected and entered correctly. If a grade level is not included, the system will display an "incorrect grade" message)
The program will be capped at 100 spots per week.
Registering for Week 1 does NOT enroll your child for the entire summer. You must register for each individual week that your child plans to attend to secure your child's spot.
If you need assistance accessing your account, please contact our office prior to the day of registration.
